Robert Parker, a U.S. Army veteran of Desert Storm, has answered the call for our country once again. He has been assembling face shields at Ford subsidiary Troy Design Manufacturing (TDM) and is one of the many volunteer workers building much needed medical supplies for front-line responders, healthcare workers, COVID-19 patients and current military members.

FORD DONATES COVID-19 FACE SHIELDS TO U.S. MILITARY BASES

Collaborating with the Department of Defense, Ford delivered 200,000 face shields to military bases in both the U.S. and in areas where our troops are currently deployed. During the pandemic, Ford had to stop making automobiles for the first time since World War II and shifted to producing personal protective equipment.

FORD PROUDLY HONORS VETERAN WHOSE EMPLOYMENT SPANS 88 YEARS

Ford recently had the privilege of honoring Wallace Redd, a World War II Army Air Corps veteran, with the Hometown Hero award for his 88 years of service at the same Jim Snead Ford Dealership. In his honor, he was also presented with a customized Cockpit USA G-1 Aviator leather jacket.
